Bulk Actions

Select an option from this drop-down list to perform a bulk action: Change Workflow StatusOpen in Series, Open in Batch, or Assign AP Cases (only available with an AP license).

Note

The Bulk Actions button is not available with Orchard Point-of-Care.

Change Workflow Status: Workflows are used to keep track of order choices as they move throughout the laboratory from receipt to completion. Use this action to update the workflow status to the next status in the workflow. If the appropriate role right is enabled, you can manually change the workflow status to other statuses as well.

  • Set to Next Workflow Status: By default, any user can access this option, which moves all selected order choices to the next valid status, valid being defined as meeting all conditions and being a manual transition to the status.
  • Next Statuses: This option appears in the Change Workflow Status contextual menu if you have the Allow user to manually change workflow statuses (TaskCenter > Manage Testing > Work in Progress) role right. This option lists all statuses that the current order choice's status can reach regardless of conditions. Select one of the statuses to assign it to all currently selected order choices. Note that this contextual menu option will only display options if all selected order choices are on the same workflow and on the same status within that workflow.
  • All Statuses: This option appears in the Change Workflow Status contextual menu if you have the Allow user to manually change workflow statuses to any status (TaskCenter > Manage Testing > Work in Progress) role right. This option lists all statuses in the workflow. You can manually assign any status to the selected order choice. Note that this contextual menu option will only display options if all selected order choices are on the same workflow.

Open in Series: Opens the Review Results or Advanced Review Results pop-up for each selected order choice in a worklist fashion, where you can use a next button to move between results.

Open in Batch: Opens the selected order choices in the Batch Review Results pop-up to work with results in bulk.

Assign AP Cases: Allows you to assign AP cases to a user in bulk. Select the Assign AP Cases option from the Bulk Actions menu to access the Assign AP Cases pop-up, where you can assign the cases you selected to a certain user.

  • Assign Case(s) to: Select or enter text in the search-as-you-type field to search for and select a user to assign the cases to. The system will display a list of users with roles that allow access to all of the selected cases and their testing facilities.
  • Assign to Selected: Select this button to assign the cases to the user selected in the Assign Case(s) to field.
  • Assign to me: Select this button to quickly assign the cases to the current signed-in user. This option is available only if the current signed-in user is allowed access to all of the selected cases and their testing facilities.
  • Unassign: Select this button to remove a user from the selected cases.

Match Results

Select this button to display the Match Results pop-up to view unmatched results.

The pop-up only displays unmatched results for instrument messages where the instrument's location is the same as the signed-in user's signed-in location, or unmatched results for instrument messages that did not match to an instrument. Select OK to close the pop-up. The list of unmatched results has columns for the created time, device engine, instrument, workflow ID, information, and editing.

  • Created: Displays the time the unmatched result record was created.
  • Device Engine: Displays the device engine the results came from.
  • Instrument: Displays the instrument the results came from, unless no instrument could be determined for the instrument.
  • Workflow ID: Displays the workflow ID that was parsed from the message.
  • Operator ID: Displays the operator ID.
  • Info: Displays a brief description of what was wrong with the message. The current possibilities are Bad Workflow IDBad Instrument ID, and Bad Operator ID.
  • Edit: Select Edit to attempt to fix and rerun the result message on the Rerun Unmatched Result pop-up. When the pop-up is displayed, a new column appears to display which unmatched result was last viewed or edited. The column has no header, but an arrow appears that points to the last viewed record on the table. Use the Override Workflow ID field to override the workflow ID. Use the Override Operator ID to override the operator ID. Use the Override Instrument search-as-you-type field to override the instrument. Any fields that are left blank will not override the value that was received in the message. Select Save and Rerun to set the overrides for the message, and the message will be rerun. After the message reruns, you'll be notified by an alert stating whether or not the message was successfully rerun, and the Work in Progress page and Match Results pop-up data tables will be refreshed. Select Cancel to close the pop-up without making any changes and not rerunning the message.
  • Delete: Select to delete the record from the program. The button triggers a confirmation pop-up before deleting the match result entry for the associated row. The Delete Record? pop-up alert is displayed. Select Yes to delete the record or select No to close the pop-up without deleting the record.
Automatically refresh every ___ secondsSelect this checkbox and enter a value in the field to automatically refresh the page with new results. The default value is 60 seconds.

  • If you are a Primary Screener or QC Screener and double-click a nonfinal AP GYN Cytology order choice without selecting the GYN Screening button, a pop-up appears stating that the case has not been primary screened yet. The pop-up will ask if you'd like to start a cytology screening session or open the case in read-only mode. You can choose to close the AP Worksheet, open the worksheet in read-only mode, or start a cytology screening session. If the case is already being screened by another user, the system will display an error message that the case is locked; however, if you have the appropriate permissions, you can take that case from the other screener by selecting Claim Case As Is.
  • If you are a Primary Screener or QC Screener and double-click a nonfinal AP GYN Cytology order choice that requires a pathologist's review, a pop-up appears stating that the case is in read-only mode and cannot be edited.
  • If you are a pathologist user and double-click on an AP GYN Cytology order choice, the AP Worksheet will open in read-only mode if you do not have a state license for the order's ordering location. The system won't let you edit or sign the case.
  • If you are a pathologist user and open an AP case that has not yet been primary screened, the system displays a warning allowing you to continue or cancel.

Note

The Results tab cannot be removed until another tab has been added.

Note

The custom filter selected on the New or Edit Tab Configuration Pop-up overrides the custom filter defined at the signed-in location level, if it is selected. If a custom filter is not selected, the page will use the signed-in custom filter as usual.

Note

When you change tabs, the tab loads with its own default custom filter setting rather than copying the values from the previous tab. If you then change back to the previous tab, it still has the values that were in the filter when you left the tab. This will also be reflected in the order choice count listed on each tab.
