The Toxicology pop-up allows you to set up toxicology order choices.

Toxicology Type
Use the Toxicology Type drop-down list to indicate the type of toxicology order choice you're configuring. The settings on the Toxicology pop-up will display after you choose from this drop-down list; the settings change based on the toxicology type you choose. Select one of the following options:
| Confirmatory | Select this option to set the order choice as a confirmatory test. |

| Screening | Select this option to set the order choice as a screening test. |
| Validity | Select this option to set the order choice as a validity test. |
Medications Automated Order
The Medications Automated Order section allows you to select medications to link to the order choice. This section is only available for Confirmatory and Screening toxicology test types.
| Medication(s) | Select or begin typing in the search-as-you-type field to search for and select active medications to link to the order choice. The medications you select will display in the order choice's medications table. Whenever one of the medications in this table is added to an order, the system will automatically order the linked order choice. |

Default Tests
The Default Tests section allows you to configure a panel of default tests that will be created when toxicology order choices are created and routed to a testing facility. These default tests will be created when order choices are manually created, created by HL7, and when an existing order choice is rerouted to a testing facility. The Default Tests section is available for Confirmatory, Screening, and Validity toxicology test types.
Note
At least one default tests section is required to save the toxicology order choice.
| Add | Select the button to insert another section of default tests for an ordering location. |

| Copy | Select to copy the default tests for a new facility. This feature doesn't copy the facility. Duplicates cannot exist. |
| Ordering Location | Select or begin typing in the Panel Tests search-as-you-type field to search for and select an ordering location to assign the default tests to. All is the default option. |
| Confirmatory Tests | Select or begin typing in the Panel Tests search-as-you-type field to search for and select confirmatory tests to include as part of the default panel for this specific ordering location. Only toxicology confirmatory tests display in the search. X: Select the X button to remove the test from the panel. Required: Select the Required checkbox to indicate that the confirmatory test is required for this order choice and cannot be removed in Order Patient Samples on the Included Tests pop-up. |
| Screening Tests | Select or begin typing in the search-as-you-type field to search for and select screening tests to include as part of the default panel for this specific ordering location. Only toxicology screening tests display in the search. X: Select the X button to remove the test from the panel. Required: Select the Required checkbox to indicate that the screening test is required for this order choice and cannot be removed from Order Patient Samples on the Included Tests pop-up. |
| Validity Tests | Select or begin typing in the search-as-you-type field to search for and select validity tests to include as part of the default panel for this specific ordering location. Only validity tests display in the search. Validity tests cannot be removed in Order Patient Samples if they are listed here. X: Select the X button to remove the test from the panel. |
