Use the LOINC Code Assignments pop-up to define LOINC code assignments for the instrument.

LOINC Code Assignments
| Add LOINC Assignment | Select this button to add a LOINC assignment. Note This option is only available for culture-level tests. All other tests can only configure one assignment. |

| Sample Type | Enter text or select in this search-as-you-type field to select a sample type to link with the LOINC code. Note This option is only available for culture-level tests. |
| Modifier | Enter text or select in this search-as-you-type field to select a sample type modifier to link with the LOINC code. Note This option is only available for culture-level tests. |
| Assigned LOINC | Enter text or select in this search-as-you-type field to select a LOINC code. This field displays a red exclamation point if it is empty and the LOINC not indicated checkbox is not selected. The LOINC code is required for the assignment unless the LOINC not indicated checkbox is selected. |
| LOINC Description | This field is auto-populated with a description once the Assigned LOINC field is filled in. |
| LOINC not indicated | Select this checkbox to indicate that the facility will not assign a LOINC code for the specified source for the test. Selecting this checkbox removes the red exclamation point from the Assigned LOINC column. |
| X | Select this button in the upper right corner to delete individual LOINC assignments. |
| Save | Select this button to save the selected assignments. |
| Cancel | Select this button to close the pop-up without saving any changes. |
