Description

Use the Fix Orders page as a diagnostic tool to view, edit, or rerun inbound messages the system could not parse due to incorrect order format or information.

Access

  • Select the Administration menu button, select the Manage button, and then select the Fix Orders submenu link. You must have the necessary security permissions to access the Administration menu button. When you select the Administration menu button, the system opens the main Administration menu, which contains administrative menu buttons, including the Manage menu. To return to the main menu for the system, select the Tasks menu button.

Fixing an Order Message

  1. When you open this page, the system displays an arrow next to the first order in the list. After you have edited the order (see below), the system displays the arrow next to the order you just edited.
  2. Select an option from the Order Host drop-down list to narrow the list to the order error messages from a specific host. Select All to view all unparsed messages from all hosts.
  3. Select a checkbox from the Limit To: section:
    • Select the Entries that have already automatically rerun checkbox to filter the table by entries that have already been rerun.
    • Select the Entries that have not automatically rerun checkbox to filter the table by entries that have not already been rerun.
    • Select the Entries that will never automatically rerun checkbox to filter the table by entries that will never rerun.
  4. Select the Automatically refresh every ___ seconds checkbox to have the system automatically refresh the Order List page. Enter a value into the field to specify the time in seconds. The default value is five.
  5. Select Refresh to find unparsed messages from the selected host.
  6. If your search generates one or more messages, then the system displays the messages when the page refreshes. Each message is listed with the creation date and time, order host, patient name, and found errors.
  7. To remove an order message from the list, select the checkbox in the Select column that corresponds to each message you wish to delete, and then select Delete Selected.
  8. Select Edit to correct errors and rerun the message using the Message Detail pop-up. Select Save and Rerun to save changes, or select Close to close the pop-up.
  9. Select Rerun Selected to rerun the selected message through the system.
  10. Select Edit to correct errors and rerun the message using the Edit Order Message page. See the Edit Order Message topic.
