Description

Use the Reference Lab Results page to provide laboratories with improved functionality to better monitor pending reference lab orders, review results from reference labs, and release the results for delivery.

Note

Users need the View/Edit Reference Lab Results role right to view the page, which can be enabled on the Roles administration page.

Order choices appear on this page if they are:

  • Routed to a Reference Lab host-type lab
  • Released to the lab
  • Not cancelled
  • Does not have results released with Final Results or have Corrected Results
  • Visible per the current signed-in location's Testing Section Settings tab

In order for the order choice results to not be released, the order choice results must be held by one of four ways:

  1. The order choice/host setting on AdminCenter > Order Choices > Order Choice Setup Hold Results for Release.
  2. A result evaluation rule with the action to hold results for the order choice.
  3. An order entry rule with the action to hold results for the order choice.
  4. The AdminCenter > System Setup > Hosts setting Hold TNP results for release is set for the reference lab and results contain the TNP code.

Note

When final results are received for the order choice, the order choice is also visible on AdminCenter > Manage > Release Results as well as on the Reference Lab Results page and can be released from either page.
