Description
Use the Order Choice Lists page to view, create, or edit the format for the order choice lists on the Order Patient Samples and Order Choice Pick List pages. Then, when placing an order, the Order Patient Samples page displays the defined groups of order choices. These groups can include the order choices you use most frequently, personal favorites, and/or lists defined to include order choices for specific situations (e.g., "Cardiac" or "Oncology"). Some of the information in this page is set up by the Orchard Administrator when your account is established. You may only modify the information as described below.
Access
- Select the My Preferences menu button and then select the Order Choice Lists submenu link. You must have the necessary security permissions to access the Order Choice Lists page.

Order Choice List Settings
The program builds the Frequent list based on your settings in this page, and then automatically fills it with the order choices you order most often.
Frequent | Displays a list of order choices that you order most often. |

Number of order choices to display per page | Enter a number between one and 100 in the field. This field is required. If you enter 10, the program displays 10 order choices per page on the Order Choice Pick List accessed from the Order Patient Samples page. Note The program only displays one page of order choices on the My Frequent order choice list, so it will not display more order choices than it can fit on one page, even if you enter a larger number here. This field is required. |
My Frequent | The list that contains your most frequently used order choices. |
Name for "My Frequent" List | Enter a different name in the field if you wish to change the name of the list. This field is required. |
Discard Changes | Select to clear your changes. |
Save | Select to record all changes |
Creating, Editing, or Deleting Personal Lists
You may set up personal lists to organize the list of order choices on the Order Patient Samples and Order Choice Pick List pages.
Name | Displays the name. |

Add | Select to open the Add/Edit List page, allowing you set up a new personal list. See the Add or Edit List topic. |
Name | Select the button to open the Add/Edit List page, allowing you to edit the list name and description, as well as modify the order choices included in the list. |
Active | Select the checkbox if you want the list to appear on the Order Patient Samples page, or clear the Active checkbox if you do not want the list to appear on the Order Patient Samples page. See the Order Patient Samples topic. |
X | Select to delete. The program immediately deletes the list. This action cannot be undone. |
Discard Changes | Select to clear your changes. |
Save | Select to record all changes. |
Using System Lists
System lists are created by the Orchard Administrator. You cannot add or remove system lists, but you may view the details and decide whether or not to display the lists on the Order Patient Samples and Order Choice Pick List pages.
