Description
Use the Label Printer Search page to select the desired label printer for the system to use for the location or user when automatically generating labels when it creates orders based on incoming HL7 messages or when users signed into a location with the auto-printing feature enabled save a sample as collected on the Collect Samples page.
Access
- Select Search next to the Label Printer drop-down field on AdminCenter > System Setup > Locations page (in both the Settings applied when this is the signed in location and the Settings applied when this is the ordering location in electronic orders sections) or on TaskCenter > My Preferences > Application page.
- Select Search next to the Print labels to field on AdminCenter > Manage > Scheduled Events page. See the Edit Schedule topic.

Selecting a Label Printer Search Result
Note
The Label Printer Search page contains a list of up to 10 label printers. If the list is longer than one page, use the page number links, located below the list of printers, to navigate through the list. If there are more page links than can fit on the page at once, the system displays a field. Enter a number in this field and press the Enter key on the keyboard to immediately open the selected page.
Select the desired label printer to return to the preceding page. See the Locations, Application, or Edit Schedule topics.
If you cannot find the desired label printer, you may create a new printer using the Network Label Printers page.
Search | Enter one or more characters in the field to narrow the list of displayed label printers or to find a specific label printer. |

Show active only | Select to view active label printers only. You set the inactive/active status on the Network Label Printer administration page. See the Network Label Printers topic. |
Search | Select to return to the preceding page without selecting a label printer. |
