Select X to clear this field. System clinical users have the All option for this field to search through all collection locations.

Note

If you searched for samples from All locations, and if there are samples from more than one lab, the system displays the samples for all labs sorted and grouped by lab name.

For example, if you select collected, enter 5, and select days, the system will display only those samples where the sample collection occurred within the last five days.

Your settings for this option affect the search results at the bottom of the page, what labs are available in the Labs drop-down list, and what existing manifests appear when you select View Existing Manifest

Manifest

Create Manifest

Once you have the desired samples selected for the manifest, select this button to create the manifest.

  • There may be more than one sample associated with a single order.
  • You may include in the manifest any or all samples in an order. For example, if the samples are going to two different labs, you may wish to exclude some samples from the first manifest and only include them on a second manifest.

The Print Manifest page appears, allowing you to print the manifest that includes the samples you are sending to a location.

After you print the manifest, select < Back to Create Manifest to return to the Create Manifest page. The page changes to exclude the manifest filter settings, and the features change to those available when you are viewing an existing manifest.

Note

If you searched for samples from All labs and then selected samples from multiple labs, for the initial print job, the system creates a separate manifest for each lab, then combines the manifests to form one PDF file that contains the samples for all selected labs for orders placed by members of your practice.

After you view the combined manifests, select Back to Create Manifest to return to the Create Manifest page to view all manifests, sorted by lab, that you just viewed and printed. Select Create Manifest to reprint the entire print job for All labs.

Once you exit this page, you will no longer be able to print a manifest for All labs as one print job. However, you will be able to reprint manifests for individual labs.

Refresh

Once you have the desired settings for the manifest filter, select this button to update the list in the Manifest section.

By default, the list is sorted by patient name and then order ID. However, depending on the Advanced Configuration Options for the system, the system may sort the results by order ID.

If you searched for samples from All locations, and if there are samples from more than one lab, the system displays the samples for all labs sorted and grouped by lab name.
