Description

Use the Quick Comments pop-up to add or remove predefined comments from the text of the comment you are editing.

You can define quick comments on the Quick Comments page, and also select the comment pages on which the quick comment should be available.

Access

  • Select the ... button on the Patient Comments page
  • Select the ... button on the Order Comments Pop-up
  • Select the ... button on the Order Choice Comments page
  • Select the ... button on the Block Notes or Slide Notes pop-ups

Quick Comments

The program displays a list of all quick comments available for the type of comment you are creating or modifying (patient, order, or order choice).

Select All/Deselect All

Select to either select or deselect all options in the table.

Note

Changed the default of all checkboxes to be cleared.

This prevents users from saving a quick comment without having at least one checkbox selected.

Checkboxes

Select the checkbox next to each predefined quick comment you wish to include in the comment text.

Drop-down list

Select a placement option for the comments from this drop-down list:

  • Postpend: Select this option to add the comment at the end of text you have entered on the main comment editing page.
  • Prepend: Select this option to add the comment at the beginning of text you have entered on the main comment editing page.
  • Replace: Select this option to use the comment instead of text you have entered on the main comment editing page.
Separate Comments with

Select a separation option for the comments from this drop-down list: 

  • Comma
  • Semicolon
  • Colon
  • Space
  • Vertical Bar

The program adds this character between each quick comment you select when it adds the quick comments to the comment text.

SaveSelect this button to save the modifications to the comment and return to the previous pop-up.
Close Window

Select this button to return to the previous pop-up without saving your changes.
