Description

The Create Metacontainer pop-up allows you to select the metacontainer type and the quantity of that type to create. Once a type and quantity are selected, the Create button is enabled.

Additionally, you can flag the new metacontainers as disposable/non-disposable and transferable/non-transferable.

Note

The Create Metacontainer pop-up no longer allows inactive metacontainer types to be used when creating metacontainers.

Access

TaskCenter > Manage Samples > Sample Management > container ID link > EditCreate Metacontainer

Note

Creation of new metacontainers is possible through several non-administration pages. This allows non-administration users to be able to create new metacontainers as needed. The ease of creating new metacontainers for non-administration users is important for disposable items, such as shipping bags or virtual racks that are created as they are needed.

Rights will need to be defined for the following:

  • Create/Edit Metacontainers
  • Edit Disposability of Metacontainers
  • Edit Transferability of Metacontainers
