Description

Use the Change Ordering Location page to make a change so the patient and ordering location you have selected on the Order Patient Samples page are from the same practice. You may select a linked patient, if one is available; search for and select a different patient; create a record for the patient in the selected location's practice, or move the patient to the selected practice. If you do not wish to perform one of these actions, you may return to the Order Patient Samples page and retain the previous ordering location.

When displaying patients, the system only includes patients whom you can view, and it limits the list by the practice the new location belongs to.

Access

  • Modify the Ordering Location field on the Order Patient Samples page when the ordering location you select is associated with a different practice than the selected patient.

  • The patient must not have any approved results on any order.
  • The patient must not have any archived records.
  • The patient must not have practice-specific insurance.
