Description

Use the Add/Edit Alert page to add or edit the alerts that will be linked to the current patient.

Access

  • Select Add on the Patient Alerts page.
  • Select the entered date of an alert in the Patient Alerts page.

Adding Alerts

Display AlertSelect to indicate when to display the alert.
At OrderDisplays the patient alert when an order is started for this patient on the Order Patient Samples page. See the Order Patient Samples topic.
At CollectionDisplays the patient alert when sample collection is started on this patient on the Collect Samples page. See the Collect Samples topic.
Display on requisitionSelect to specify whether or not a patient alert can appear on a requisition. This functionality is enabled by default, so all patient alerts (existing and new) will be configured for display on the requisition.
Alert TextEnter the desired text for the alert in the field.
CancelSelect to return to the Patient Alerts page without saving your changes.
SaveSelect to save the modifications to the alert and return to the Patient Alerts page.


Editing Alerts

The current alert text and display settings are displayed when the page appears. Modify the text or display settings for the alert as desired.

At the bottom of the page, The program displays a message that lists who created the alert and the date and time it was created. In addition, if the alert has been edited, the program displays a message that lists who modified the alert and the date and time it was modified.

CancelSelect to return to the Patient Alerts page without saving your changes.
SaveSelect to save the modifications to the alert and return to the Patient Alerts page.
