Adding Samples to an Existing Sample Set

The system allows samples to be added to an existing sample set provided there are rows available. The system places samples in the table sequentially and does not fill empty rows that have samples preceding it. Note that the system restricts you from changing the set definition or deleting samples.

Find Set With Sample IDEnter a cytology sample ID in the field to locate the existing sample set using the Storage Container Search page. The samples you select from the Sample Search page are added to the cytology set. See the Container Search topic.
Add Sample to Set

Once you select the sample set, the system displays the set in the sample set table. Enter the sample or order ID in the Add Sample to Set field to search for samples using the Sample Search page. See "Creating a Cytology Sample Set" above. Once you add a sample, the system places it in the sample set table in the highest row available.

Note

The system places the samples in the table from top to bottom in the order that you add them. If you remove a sample from within the list, the system will not place another sample in the row unless you remove the samples beneath the empty row.

Print WorksheetSelect to send the order and print the samples worksheet. The electronic order is only sent one time for a sample in a set. You may select Print Worksheet many times without sending multiple messages to the lab. Note that once you send the order, the system restricts you from removing any samples from the sample set.
