Organism Index

Description

The Organism Index page allows you to set up, configure, and search for organisms in the system.

Organism search

Enter the name, display name, abbreviation, or SNOMED code of an organism to jump to the requested entry in the table.

Show active only

Select this checkbox to display only active organisms in the table.

Add

Select this button to open the Add Class pop-up. Asterisks denote required fields.

Expand	Select this button to expand the class row to to display genus information, which expands to display species information.
Class Name	Displays the class name.
SNOMED	Displays the SNOMED code.
Active	Displays "Yes" or "No."
Edit Class	Select this button to open the Edit Class pop-up that is auto-filled with the record data and ready for editing. Active Class Name* Class Display Name* Class Reportable Name* Class Abbreviation* SNOMED Code SNOMED Description Ignore SNOMED

Genus Information

Expand the class row to view genus information for the selected organism.

Expand	Select this button to expand the genus row to display species information.
Genus Name	Displays the genus name.
Abbreviation	Displays the genus abbreviation.
Display Name	Displays the display name.
SNOMED	Displays the SNOMED code.
Active	Displays "Yes" if this genus is active.

Species Information

Expand the genus information to view species information for the selected organism.

Species Name	Displays the species name.
Abbreviation	Displays the species abbreviation.
Display Name	Displays the display name. This default is the genus name followed by the organism species name.
SNOMED	Displays the SNOMED code, imported or manually defined.
Active	Displays "Yes" if this genus is active.
