Description
Use the Nationality page to add or edit the nationalities list used for patient demographics. See the Demographics topic.
Access
AdminCenter > Patient Setup > Nationality
You must have the necessary security permissions to access the Nationality page.

Viewing the Nationality List
The Nationality page contains a list of up to 10 nationalities. If the list is longer than one page, use the page links located above or below the list of nationalities to navigate through the list.
| Show active only | Select the checkbox to view active nationalities only. You set the inactive/active status in the Nationality Details section of the Nationalities details page. See "Adding or Editing Nationality Details" below. |

| Name | Enter text into the search-as-you-type field to search for a specific nationality or to narrow the list. |
| Add | Select to create a nationality. See "Adding or Editing Nationality Details" below. |
| Refresh | Select to refresh the search results in the table list. |
| Name | Select the nationality name link to view or edit nationality information on the Nationality details page. See "Adding or Editing Nationality Details" below. |
Adding or Editing Nationality Details
Use the Nationality Details section of the Nationality details page to add or edit a nationality.
| Nationality | Enter the name of the nationality in the field. This field is required. To edit the nationality name, highlight or delete text already displayed in the field, then modify as desired. |

| Active | Select the checkbox to enable users to select the nationality while entering patient demographics on the Demographics page. Clear this checkbox to restrict users from selecting the nationality. If the nationality is inactive, the system clears it from the Nationality list page when you select the Show active only checkbox. See "Viewing the Nationality List" above. |
| < Back to List | Select to return to the Nationality list page without saving any changes. |
| Save | Select to record changes and return to the Nationality list page. |
Adding or Editing Host Information
The Host Codes for this Nationality section of the Nationality details page displays a list of all active hosts. Use this section to add or edit host codes.
| Show active hosts only | To view active hosts only, select the checkbox. Set the active/inactive status in the Host Details section of the Host details page. See the Hosts topic. |

| Host Code | To add host codes, enter the codes for the nationality in the fields next to the desired host names. If you try to save a host code that is identical to another code for the same host for two nationalities, the system displays a warning message that details where up to ten conflicts lie and prompts you to proceed with saving the host codes or not. To edit host codes, highlight or delete text already displayed in the field, then modify as desired. |
