Mapper Scripts

Select to add a new mapper script to the system. The Mapper Scripts details page will appear, opening a blank record to create a new mapper script. See "Adding and Editing Mapper Scripts" below.

You can also select Copy on an existing mapper script to add a new mapper script using the existing script's details; see below.

Select the button to trigger a download of the mapper scripts as a ZIP file. A text file is created for each mapper script record, using the mapper script name as the file name and the script contents as the file contents. These text files are added to a folder, which is added to the ZIP file that is then pushed to the browser as a download. Repeated text file names are avoided by appending numbers to the file name as necessary. File names are scrubbed of invalid characters. The ZIP file name will be the current date and time, followed by "_ms.zip."

To modify the number of items on the page, adjust the value of the field. The system defaults to 10 per page and displays the total number of items based on your search.

Enter the name of the mapper script in the field. This field is required.

Select the button to add or edit mapper script information on the Edit Mapper Script pop-up.

The Script Usage section on the Edit Mapper Script pop-up displays Inbound Hosts Using Script, Outbound Hosts Using Script, and Hosts Forwarding Messages with this Script, which shows whether or not they are using the mapper script. If inbound hosts are not using mapper scripts, it will display a "This script is not used for inbound messages by any host" message. If outbound hosts are not using mapper scripts, it will display a "This script is not used for outbound messages by any host" message. If the mapper script is not used for forwarding any host, it will display a "This script is not used for forwarding by any host" message.

Previous Versions: Select the button to view previous versions of the mapper script.

Script Contents: Enter text into the field to configure the mapper script contents.

Save: Select to save the added mapper script contents to the Mapper Scripts details page. To save changes made on the Edit Mapper Script pop-up, you must select Save on the Mapper Scripts details page.

Cancel: Select to return to the Mapper Scripts details page without saving any changes. 

Displays the time the mapper script was created.

Select the button to view any alerts and comments added to the mapper script on the Alerts & Comments page. If there are no alerts or comments, a "No Alerts & Comments Defined" message will be displayed.

Add: Select to add alerts and/or comments to the script on the Alerts & Comments pop-up. Enter text into the field, or select the ... button to add quick comments on the Quick Comments pop-up.

• Select the checkboxes of the quick comments you'd like to add to the script.
• Select an option from the Postpend drop-down, either Postpend, Prepend, or Replace.
• From the Separate Comments with drop-down, select either Comma, Semicolon, Colon, Space, or Vertical Bar.
• Select the Save button to save the quick comments, or select the Close Window button to close the window without saving any changes.

Select Save on the Alerts & Comments pop-up to save changes made to the pop-up, or select Cancel to close the window without saving any changes. Select OK on the Alerts & Comments pop-up to save changes made to the page, or select Cancel to close the pop-up without saving any alerts or comments.
