Description

Use the Coded Result Settings pop-up to specify how the coded results will function on the AP Worksheet. 

Access

AdminCenter > Order Choice Setup > Tests > add or edit a test > Test Details > Module drop-down list > AP > Enterability drop-down list > Coded Results > Coded Results button

Note

These settings are available only with an Anatomic Pathology license.

Coded Results Search Settings

Choose one of the following options to set parameters for how the system searches coded results:

  • Users can search for any AP Coded Result record, but search results favor the Specimen Source Category and/or Specimen Source of the Test's parent Part
    • If the test has the Associate with setting set to Case, this option will say: Users can search for any AP Coded Result record.
  • Users can only select Coded Result records with the same Specimen Source Category as the Test's parent Part
  • Users can only select Coded Result records with the same Specimen Source as the Test's parent Part
  • Users can only pick Coded Result records in the "Quick List"
    • See Quick List below for how to configure the Quick List.
Allow Additional Free Form Text

Select this checkbox to allow users to type additional text results or modify the reportable text of selected coded result records.

Require Coded Result with free text: Select this checkbox to require that if a user enters free text, they must also enter a coded result. 

Coded Result Separator

Select a character to separate the coded results. The options are:

  • Comma
  • Semicolon
  • Carriage return
  • Blank line in-between
Quick List

Use this section to define commonly used coded results that will be displayed on the AP Worksheet to allow users to single-click answer this test.

Select a Coded Result to add: Select or begin typing in the search-as-you-type field to search for and select coded results to add to the Quick List table.

Sort: Use the equal sign icon to drag and drop the coded result row to the desired location in the list.

X: Select the X button to remove the coded result from the list. 

Changes made to the Quick List table will update the Quick List preview above the table. This is a preview of what the Quick List will look like on the AP Worksheet.

OKSelect to save changes made to the Coded Result Settings pop-up.
CancelSelect to return to the Tests page without saving any changes.
