Use the Order Choice Catalog page to search through all the active order choices and profiles in the database and get more information about them, without accessing a patient record or opening the Order Choices page.
By default, this page is not available. A System Administrator must modify the setting on the System Defaults page to allow the Order Choice Catalog page to appear as an option on the Manage Orders menu.
TaskCenter > Manage Orders > Order Choice Catalog
A System Administrator must enable this page on the System Defaults page or the Order Choice Catalog page will not appear as an option in the Manage Orders menu. |
Use one or more of the following filter options. Each filter option you use further limits the number of possible matching order choices. If you use multiple filtering options, you will only see those order choices or profiles that match all parameters you have specified.
Order Choice Name | Enter one or more characters of the order choice name. The program will only search for order choices that include the character(s) you type. If you select the Search CPT Codes option and enter one or more characters, the program searches both the order choice name and CPT code. |
---|---|
Ordering Location | Select the location where the order was placed from the drop-down list. The program will only search for order choices that have active hosts that match the hosts available to the selected ordering location. Select All to include order choices from all ordering locations. You may set the default value of this setting to the signed-in location (if it is an ordering location) on the Application page or Users administration page. |
Search CPT Codes | Select this checkbox and enter one or more characters into the Order Choice Name field to search for order choices with names or CPT codes that match your entry. |
Search Order Choice List | Select this checkbox followed by selecting an option from the drop-down list to filter the order choice catalog by defined order choice lists or profiles. Select either All Lists, My Frequent, or Profiles from the list to define the filter. All Lists is the default option. |
Search Profiles | Select this checkbox to filter the order choice catalog by profiles. |
The program displays the order choices and profiles that match the search filter restrictions when the page refreshes.
The system displays the profiles first, followed by the order choices, sorted alphabetically.
The system includes in the search the system-level profiles, practice-level profiles for either the selected ordering location's practice or for the practices for all the locations that you may select, and user-level profiles that you have created.
Displaying __ of __ Order Choices | Adjust the values in these fields to modify the number of order choices on the page. The program defaults to 10 per page and displays the total number of items based on your search. |

Select Print to print the available information for the chosen order choice by lab. When Print is selected, a pop-up opens to configure printing criteria. Print buttons will be available by each host information section. When these buttons are selected, the order choice information will be printed alongside the chosen host information. |
CPT Codes | Displays the assigned CPT codes. |
Research/Experimental | Displays this column, when applicable, to indicate the research/experimental status of each order choice on the list. |
